Over the weekend, the Denver Nuggets made sure that one of their cornerstones stayed put, agreeing with guard Jamal Murray on a four-year, $208 million extension.
Murray, 27, has yet to make an all-star team in his career but has had a penchant for big shots and big playoff performances. He averaged 21.2 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.1 rebounds in 2023-2024 (playing in 59 games) and has a lifetime average of 17.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.7 rebounds.
The Nuggets won 57 games this past season, finishing second in the Western Conference. They lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in seven games in the Western Conference Semifinals. Earlier in the offseason, the team agreed to a two-year, $7 million deal with Russell Westbrook.
