Incoming Duke freshman Cooper Flagg has signed an endorsement deal with New Balance, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Flagg is the number one prospect in ESPN’s 2025 NBA Draft Rankings. The 6 foot, 9 inch 17-year-old is a native of Newport, M.E., and attended Nokomis Regional High School before heading to private school Montverde Academy, just outside of Orlando. Joel Embiid, Cade Cunningham, Scottie Barnes, R.J. Barrett, D’Angelo Russell, and Ben Simmons are notable alums of Montverde. New York Mets all-star shortstop Francisco Lindor also played baseball at the school.
Flagg averaged 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in his senior season at Montverde, and played well against the USA Men’s National Team in pre-Olympic scrimmages in Las Vegas.
At New Balance, Flagg joins a fleet of athletes that includes Shohei Ohtani, Coco Gauff, Kawhi Leonard, Jamal Murray, Dejounte Murray, and Zach Lavine. If Flagg plays up to or exceeds his potential, he is a major coup for the brand.
